The oldest standing brick fort in Georgia, Fort Jackson once served as headquarters for the Confederate Savannah River defenses. Visitors may enjoy a plethora of attractions, including exhibits interpreting the fort's history, live battle reenactments, concerts of 19th-century music, and blacksmithing demonstrations. The fort holds daily cannon firing demonstrations during the summer. It is located just northeast of town near the banks of the Savannah River.

Adults $4.25; Students, seniors (55+), military and AAA members $3.75; Children 6 and under are free
