Awful, you will regret eating here!

Posted by Travish4103 on 3/12/2009

Awful, just awful. I had eaten here before, and they had a giftcard promotion, so I picked up two. The food isn't that great, and the service truly is horrible, but the giftcard deal was great. So, today my wife and I went to get some sushi and fried oysters. The oysters had shells in them! There were so many shells I was choking and could not eat them at all. The response from the staff, simply, "uh, we won't charge you for it." So, for two sushi rolls (one good, one horrible) and miso soup, it costs $15. So, we pull out the giftcard so we can leave. THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT THEIR OWN GIFTCARDS! They said it wouldn't scan and they don't use the serial codes on the cards, so we were just screwed. Therefore, I had to pay $45 for one crappy roll, one okay roll, and miso soup. Do not eat here. Service is horrible and the food is edible, if you're lucky. There's a reason why this place is always empty on the busiest street in Savannah!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Begin with sitting for 18 minutes before ever even greeted by a hostess or any staff member. It was dead inside therefore there should be no excuses. Hostess knows nothing, not even the type of alcohol served "im not the waiter". Waiter comes out minutes later, ask for specific gin , dirty up. "what is that?" MARTINI. 12 min later, wrong drink comes out. Menus were left after we palced the order. Two of the three orders came out wrong and none of the entrees came out at one time. Silverware was asked for three times, we had the food before we had utensils. I clarified when my food arrived, this was the wrong order. He looked at what he had written and I thought he agreed, 15 min later, still, no correct food order. Seemed to acknowledge mistake but I was wrong, inquired again about my food order being incorrect and waiter then tells me "Oh, no that is what you ordered", did I repeat myself three times to be argued with? Even if you ask questions the staff doesn't know anything, basic knowledge of menu does not exist. I could understand if this was a cheap place, it is mid-level in price. The teriyaki chicken, more than half of it was dark meet, that is not mentioned in the menu and it was drowned in teriyaki that tasted like it was from a bottle in the grocery store. All around worst experience, terrible staff and worst service ever. Don't waste your money.

Fun atmosphere, quality food!

I visited Savannah for the first time two years ago with a small group of friends and stumbled upon Seasons Asian Bistro after a disappointing dining experience the night before at ever-popular (why?) Lady & Sons. Needless to say, it recovered our poor dining experiences in Savannah for us, and we've made it a regular stop on our yearly trips to Savannah. There wasn't a long wait and the food and atmosphere were perfect for a romantic setting or for a small group of friends to talk and laugh. We were lucky enough to be seated "on the floor," a raised bamboo floor area in which the tables are set down into. This "feel" made for an exceptional experience on top of the quality (and reasonably priced) bottles of wine and exceptional Asian cuisine. Whenever I hear of someone going to Savannah, I quickly recommend Seasons Asian Bistro and advise against The Lady & Sons.

A bit disapointed

I enjoyed the ambience and was expecting great things but was a little let down. I had one of curry dishes and it was rather bland. Service was prompt and very nice though, I will probably give it a third try sometime soon.

Awesome experience

The dining room is absolutely beautiful, the staff is attentive but not intrusive and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were so impressed with every part of our experience at Season's -- we will definately go out of our way to return to this gem of a restaurant. The wine list also has some nice, reasonably priced selections. Don't miss this place!
